CMC (LVG/HVG)

PZT-CMC-LV is offered in low-viscosity (LVG) and high-viscosity (HVG) grades of standard sodium carboxymethyl cellulose - the same cellulose-ether chemistry as PAC but with a lower degree of substitution and purity. LVG grade controls fluid loss with minimal added viscosity, while HVG grade is dosed specifically to add significant viscosity. The dual-grade flexibility lets a mud engineer choose the right tool for the job from one chemical family, at lower cost than PAC, with a long, well-understood performance track record in freshwater bentonite systems.
