Who we are

Petriz LLC is a Texas-based importer and distributor of oilfield chemicals, serving operators across North and South America. This policy explains what personal information we collect through petriz.co, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect, and when

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, plus limited analytics about how the site is used.

• Contact form. When you submit the form on our contact page we receive your first and last name, email address, company name if you provide it, the product and request type you selected, and your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to supply the documentation or quote you asked for.
• Email signup form. When you subscribe to technical updates we receive your email address and nothing else. We use it only to send those updates.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and products get attention, which content is worth writing more of, and where visitors come from. This includes pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interactions such as opening a product page or requesting a data sheet.

What we deliberately do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.
• We do not send your name, email address, or company name to Google Analytics. Analytics events record that an enquiry happened and which product it concerned, never who made it.
• We do not buy email lists or add anyone to our mailing list who did not ask to be on it. Submitting a sales enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing email.

Third parties who process data for us

We use a small number of established service providers. Each processes data only to deliver its function, under its own privacy terms.

• Formspree delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
• MailerLite stores our mailing list and sends our email updates.
• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager provide site analytics.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, which means Google receives a request from your browser when a page loads.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own.

We also store your light/dark theme preference locally in your browser under the key petriz-theme. That value never leaves your device and is not personal information; clearing your browser storage removes it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and browser add-ons are available that opt you out of Google Analytics entirely. The site works normally either way.

Marketing email and how to stop it

Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and we do not ask why.

You will only receive marketing email if you subscribed through the signup form on this site or otherwise clearly asked to receive it. If you contacted us about a quote or documentation, that is a business enquiry and we will reply to it, but it does not put you on the mailing list.

If you ever receive email from us you did not ask for, reply and tell us. That is a mistake on our side and we want to know.

How long we keep things

Contact form enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle your request and to maintain a record of the commercial relationship, including where records must be retained for tax, customs, or product-documentation purposes.

Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. These rights are set out in laws including the EU and UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD, and various US state privacy laws.

To exercise any of them, email sales@petriz.co. We will respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires. We may need to verify your identity first, so that we do not disclose someone's information to the wrong person.

International transfers

Petriz LLC operates from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection rules than your own country.

Children

This is a business-to-business site for the oil and gas industry. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date below. Material changes affecting subscribers will also be mentioned in an email update.
