Calcium Lignosulfonate Thinner

PZT-CSL-1 is a calcium lignosulfonate-based thinner and dispersant derived from the sulfite pulping process, used to reduce viscosity and gel strength in water-based drilling fluids. It deflocculates clay platelets so the mud thins without removing the solids that carry weight, which is what makes a thinner preferable to dilution when rheology drifts high. Because it carries no chromium, it is the practical choice in jurisdictions where chrome-based lignosulfonates are restricted or prohibited. Typical treatment is 1.0 to 6.0 lb/bbl (2.9 to 17.1 kg/m3) depending on the target rheology and fluid-loss profile. Supplied in 25 kg multi-wall bags.
