Cello Phane
PZT-CELLO-1 cello phane is regenerated cellulose film, shredded or flaked for use as an LCM. The thin, flexible, highly conformable flakes deform and pack into fracture faces, sealing lost-circulation zones. Being cellulose, it eventually biodegrades, which can reduce - though not eliminate - long-term formation-damage risk relative to a permanent mineral LCM, and its conformability lets it seal irregular fracture geometry that flatter mineral flakes handle less effectively.

Use Cases & Applications
- LCM treatment for moderate seepage-to-partial loss zones
- Sized blends for varying fracture widths, especially irregular fracture geometry
Pros
- Good fracture-face conformability
- Environmentally favorable degradation profile
- Works in both WBM and OBM
Cons & Limitations
- Lower mechanical/crush strength than mica or walnut shells under high differential pressure
- Degradation timeline is uncertain and not precisely controllable - not a substitute for acid-soluble bridging where on-demand removal is required
