Pipe Free

PZT-PPFREE-1 is a spotting fluid used to free differentially or mechanically stuck drill pipe, casing, or tools. It works by reducing friction at the contact area and breaking the seal that has formed between the pipe and the filter cake or formation face, which is the mechanism holding a differentially stuck string. It is formulated and weighted per job design, typically 8.3 to 15+ lb/gal depending on the density needed to balance the interval, and spotted across the stuck zone with soak time governed by the situation rather than a standard schedule. Supplied in 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon pails, or as blended base components.
